One picture is all I have right now...

This is the dress I made for my sister's wedding. There were three with jackets--EEEK!! Hopefully soon I'll have the emails I was promised with all three little girls in their dresses. It was a TON of work but I think they turned out super cute. Yay me!

EEEEEEEK!!! I'm a Horrible horrible blogger

I know I know--for all one dedicated reader I have I'm a horrible blogger.

We are moved! HOORAY! And yes--I HAVE been crafty and sewing. And no--I have no pictures. But I will. Right now I'm in the midst of 10 or so yards of orange satin for my sister's upcoming nuptials. As in NEXT saturday and I'm in zipper HELL! Everything else on these dresses is done--hem, jacket, pressed etc--but that d*&m zipper is going to put me in a padded white room with a lovely jacket.

In other happy news--I have made some super cute aprons and have a darling model for them. Now, if only I could find my camera cord so y'all could see how cute they are.

Yeah Yeah--get of my back! LOL!

I know I don't have any new craftiness to show. Things have been CRAZY around my house for a while. My IL's moved in for 2 months and I was getting my crafty room ready for them to stay in which means no room to sew (even though I have about a dozen projects to finish! EEEK!). AND in even bigger and better news---WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!! HOORAY!! We close on Monday (maybe Tuesday). We will be moving in at the end of July so THAT means I will be crazy busy packing up not only my family's stuff but also the IL's. So that means no time for crafting. Never fear---my crafty room will be set up rather quickly--and I will be able to KEEP it this time. So, stay tuned for MANY more crafty projects to show up in August!

Bibs, bibs and more bibs

So, I have over dozen "boutique" style bibs that have been cut out FOREVER. I finally got on the ball today and stichted some together. I LOVE them! Seriously! They cover my daughters clothes PERFECTLY so I don't have to worry about food stains. And they are just super cute with the chenille on the back! I can't believe how much people pay for these things!! I've seen them on ebay and etsy for $10 and up. Ummm--yeah NOT that expensive to make. Again--please ignore the lack of snaps--I STILL can not find the stupid snap press. Guess I will resort to a hammer if I can't find it soon.

Sorry about the backround of the photos. Sometimes you use what you got.

Sneak Peak for Mel

So, I'm making some SUPER cute aprons for my dear friend Mel and her darling daughters. She won't be getting them until she comes to visit in July (no--I'm NOT that mean--she's moving and doesn't need to pack anything else before she moves). But I wanted to give her a sneak peak of her daughters aprons. You will notice it's not the entire apron. I don't want to ruin the surprise.

I'm so excited for how cute these are turning out!! You may be asking why the Strawberry Shortcake--well I have it from the most excellent source (Mel herself) that her girls LOVE Strawberry Shortcake. I saw the fabric and HAD to get it!!! Mel's will not have the Strawberry Shortcake but her's DOES have some super cute strawberry fabric from Moda. Now, if only I had 4 more hours in the day to finish the kazillion projects I have going.

Diaper and Wipe Case

I know--I should be posting more--hopefully when I finish setting up my sewing area that will happen. I made this diaper and wipe case for my SIL. Her son is now old enough she doesn't need the whole diaper bag so I asked if she wanted one and she did. I FINALLY got it put together (we discussed this during Thanksgiving 2007--what can I say--I'm a procrasinator) I'm not sending it to her because I still have an apron to make for her and one for my nephew (sock monkeys--soooooooo cute!!) and they are coming to Utah to visit in July. So if the Gods are kind (or maybe the Muses???) I will have those done as well before they come.

So this case holds 3 size 3 or 4 diapers, Huggies travel wipe case and a tube of diaper rash cream. Fabulous for when you don't want to carry the whole bag OR you are tired of crushed diapers. OR you have more than 2 in diapers and need to carry different sizes. (obviously you would need more than one case)

Front--still need to add the snaps- Can't find my snap press.

Open Front

Back--I added a pocket to store things like hand sanitizer.

First Crafty Post

So, I finished these aprons a couple of weeks ago. The first was my first attempt at making this reversible. Notice the snap?? Yeah--that's how I had to do it. The second was made for my niece's birthday and notice the LACK of snap?? Yeppers--figured it out!! HOORAY!! And after all that--I've decided that I like the snap better.

Please excuse the picture quality--lighting in my basement is not the best.
